Smart Logistics with Dynamic Routing calculates the route of every bin, crate and pallet in real time, instead of following fixed paths. It runs on a live graph model of the plant and combines production, warehouse and equipment data in one platform (MES, WMS, WCS). Routing weighs quality and logistics together: a bin is chosen only if it is suitable and reachable in time. A status change on a bin (to be cleaned, organic, blocked, inspection) automatically triggers the right route, so exceptions are resolved in flow without stopping production.

At Patatas Meléndez (250,000+ tonnes a year), dynamic routing runs a fully automated warehouse and allows new washing and packing lines without extra warehouse capacity. At The Little Potato Company, routing adapts to the live situation with minimal operator workload and 99.9% uptime. The same logic scales from one site to multi-plant operations; McCain chose Atumind after evaluating 22 systems. Result: higher throughput, less dependence on scarce labour, full traceability per bin and avoided investment.
