Intracelp is the solution designed for the internal analysis of potatoes.
It accurately detects defects such as hollow hearts or damage and, within a few minutes, provides comprehensive, reliable and detailed data, ensuring an objective assessment of the internal quality of the tubers.

Since 2019, Eurocelp has been developing an automated solution for detecting internal defects in potatoes. An initial version was released in 2023. In 2026, a new, faster version was launched; a 10 kg sample can be analysed in under 5 minutes. The system is patented, and an image of the slice is captured at the moment of cutting. Data is provided to customers for each slice, enabling them to reconstruct a 3D model of the tuber showing the exact location of any defects.
Added value for the user (in commercial terms, user-friendliness ...)
The quality of the data collected and the level of accuracy are much better, and can contribute to the factory’s productivity.
The Intracelp saves technicians and managers a great deal of time in the laboratory. The machine operates autonomously; it is already programmed…
The analysis speed is sufficient to work in real time, even on the largest incoming batches.
Added value for the further sustainability and professionalization of the potato sector.
The results of sample analyses are highly repeatable, far more so than when they are carried out by eye.
This automated defect assessment can bring real added value to the management of the contractual relationship between industry and producers, and to the improvement of agronomic practices.
It is also of particular interest to companies operating across multiple sites.
Furthermore, the solution is regularly updated to incorporate software improvements.
