Smarter switching. Continuous production.
The FlowSwitcher introduces a new approach to switching within high-performance cutting lines. Instead of switching at the knife block, the system redirects the water flow, allowing the complete cutting configuration, from aligner and accelerator to knife block, to be changed as one optimized setup.
This approach helps maintain production when blockages occur and enables fast, controlled changeovers between different product sizes and cuts. Its compact design makes the FlowSwitcher suitable for integration into existing lines, while its open and hygienic construction provides easy access for operators and maintenance.
Combined with the latest generation of Tummers knives, the FlowSwitcher delivers the flexibility, cut quality and uptime required for modern potato processing.

The FlowSwitcher introduces a fundamentally different approach to switching in hydrocutting. Traditional systems switch at the knife block; the FlowSwitcher redirects the water flow and with it, the complete cutting configuration: aligner, accelerator, and knife block. This allows entire cutting configurations to be perfectly optimized for product size and cut shape. The concept combines fast changeovers with reduced impact from blockages, high uptime, and continuous production.
Added value for the user (in commercial terms, user-friendliness ...)
By changing the complete cutting configuration rather than just the knife block, and with fewer wear parts, processors gain greater flexibility in product size and shape. Furthermore, a blockage in one cutting line is far less likely to cause production downtime. Its compact footprint enables integration into existing lines, while the open, hygienic design simplifies inspection, cleaning, and maintenance. The system is engineered for higher cut quality, product consistency, and uptime.
Added value for the further sustainability and professionalization of the potato sector.
Increased uptime and a more controlled cutting process result in a more efficient use of raw materials and production capacity. Better cut quality and reduced product damage help minimize product loss, while easier maintenance and a configurable cutting line support the overall lifespan and versatility of the equipment. The FlowSwitcher elevates hydrocutting by bringing flexibility, process reliability, hygiene, and ease of maintenance together into a single integrated concept—with fewer wear parts to replace.
