Ejection is where sorting accuracy is won or lost: a correctly detected defect is worthless if the wrong tuber is ejected. Visar Sorting has designed and developed its own air-jet nozzle system for higher ejection precision, instead of using standard off-the-shelf components. Tubers are first separated by a centrifugal accelerator and inspected one by one on a double belt; the nozzles then send each tuber to the correct output, onto cushioned mats.

Fewer sorting errors: fewer good tubers lost and fewer defects slipping through. This precision allows tight tolerances between quality categories and makes it possible to eliminate manual final sorting. With cushioned mats, handling stays gentle.
