The Evato measures the actual evapotranspiration (ETa) of your crop directly in the field, above the canopy and over a larger area than a single soil point. You work with real crop water use instead of a theoretical reference ET and crop coefficient. ET drops as soon as the crop is stressed, often before soil moisture changes, so you can adjust in time. Combined with soil moisture sensors in the CropX platform, you get the full picture of water in your field, from roots to shoots. Independent of soil type.
