The DB Box Filler from SWP is a highly compact box filler that feeds the product into the arable crop box with a minimal drop height. The machine comprises a conveyor belt consisting of two segments. These segments are mounted on a central pivot and a lifting belt.

A robust rack-and-pinion mechanism moves the conveyor to the end of the bin. From this point, the conveyor lowers to the bottom of the bin and the filling process begins. An ultrasonic sensor detects the desired product level and communicates with the motors to raise the conveyor in incremental steps. In no time at all, the crate is filled and the filling process shifts to the other side for the second crate. This enables a capacity of up to 70 tonnes per hour to be achieved.

The crate filler is equipped with a user-friendly touchscreen control panel. Here, the filling process can be fully customised to the customer’s requirements. This includes, for example, the 0° or 5° function. This determines the final filling movement of the crate; in 0° mode, a so-called ‘crest’ can be formed on top of the crate to accommodate just a little extra product. In the 5° setting, the drop height is limited, ensuring the quality of delicate crops is maintained.
