ARGUMENTATION ABOUT THE INNOVATIVE CHARACTER

This innovative system recovers blow-off steam from the steam peeler. The HERS recovers energy from hot water. This hot water is the result of condensation of steam in the static vessel. The HERS is a good recommendation for blanchers placed after the steam peeler or to be used as hygienic cleaning water.

Recovery significantly reduces energy costs for the consumer. By retaining the heat energy, there are de facto double savings. On the one hand due to the steam removal and on the other hand due to the reduced consumption when heating the blancher or cleaning water.
Using the Herbort Energy Recuperation System also totally eliminates the function of the chimney, which drains large amounts of steam. As a result, the HERS also reduces odor and noise pollution, which then also has a beneficial impact on the health of employees. Moreover, the administrative handling of environmental permits becomes a lot easier for the user.

This system was specifically designed to make the processing agricultural industry more sustainable, as well as on demand. Firstly, due to the non-use of the chimney, emissions are eliminated. The savings in terms of heat energy further reduces the load on the electricity grid specifically for energy-intensive food processing plants.
