INTERPOM INNOVATION TOUR CATEGORY:

Cultivation & Mechanization: from soil preparation to planting to harvesting

ARGUMENTATION ABOUT THE INNOVATIVE CHARACTER

With the AEROSTAR-FUSION premium tined weeder, you can weed standard crops (e.g. grains, onions, vegetables, etc.), ridged crops (e.g. potatoes, carrots) and special crops. efficient and effectively. The aggressivity setting on the premium tined weeder can be adjusted hydraulically from extremely gentle (for blind weeding) to ultra-aggressive (for crust breaking). The contact pressure on the AEROSTARFUSION is up to 6 kg / 13.20 lbs per tine. The premium weeder is an absolute superstar in the tined weeder segment in all areas, from tine arrangement, adjustment and fixing, to tyre equipment and frame construction.

ADDED VALUE FOR THE USER (IN COMMERCIAL TERMS, USER-FRIENDLINESS ...)

The geometry of the tines has been perfectly tuned to ensure that they always exert the same contact pressure on the soil in any position (steep, aggressive or dragging). This ensures the same level of aggressivity e.g. when working on very uneven ground or on ridges/in beds. To increase durability and facilitate servicing, the standard double springs are placed above the frame. The spring deflection is also fixed by the special Einböck wireless springs and the springs cannot "swing" upwards or “hang through”. The tine radius has been flattened off to enable efficient, blockage-free weeding, even if there is a high amount of organic matter. This means that less material can build up in the tines. The wear length of the 7 mm / 0.28" tines is 100 mm / 3.94". Tines with rounded carbide tips are available for large farms and contractors.

ADDED VALUE FOR THE FURTHER SUSTAINABILITY AND PROFESSIONALIZATION OF THE POTATO SECTOR

For the cultivated crop: Weeds are removed mechanically, which enables the crop to grow better. Looser, damper soil promotes root growth in the cultivated crop. Water is conserved through breaking up capillary action, which means more water for the cultivated crop. Strain and leaf damage in the cultivated crop due to herbicide use is avoided.
For the soil: Aerating the soil and breaking up crusts after heavy rainfall boosts soil moisture. Mobilisation of nutrients and promotion of mineralisation, thus greater microorganism activity. Gentle humus cultivation – shallow cultivation of the upper soil layer. Incorporation of (organic) fertilizer – fertilizer mineralisation e.g. incorporation of slurry, mineral fertilizers and urea. Release of nutrients: "Twice weeded = once fertilized"
For the environment: Avoidance/reduction of herbicides and active substances. Reduced usage of active substances and removal of resistant weeds. Improved soil fertility and healthier, more resilient soils. Protection of waters and Safeguarding of biodiversity
