The ADAPT project aims to unravel the biological basis of combined stress tolerance in potato. Despite the widespread cultivation of potato as the most important non-grain food crop, it remains susceptible to abiotic stresses including to heat, drought and flooding. Using a combination of molecular and genetic approaches, we will identify biological mechanisms that can be used breed more resilient potato cultivars for coping with climate change.
