ARGUMENTATION ABOUT THE INNOVATIVE CHARACTER

In early 2022, VSS Machinebouw presented its updated VSS AMAC 2.25mtr Onion harvester.
The renewed onion harvester is equipped with a new depth control system with renewed probes that, apart from up and down, can also oscillate to the left and right, this innovation ensures better depth control in late-growing onion sets.
Besides the depth control, the machine has a renewed feed pinion that is hydraulically adjustable in speed and can be adjusted in height from the harvesting mat, this renewed feed pinion therefore has more adjustment possibilities and helps to prevent damage in extreme harvesting conditions (dry/wet).
To finish off, the swath laying system at the rear has been modified, the system has been made lighter and fitted with a larger buffer tray, to take more product to clear the headland.

The machine has been further developed and provides a higher capacity, allowing more to be done with 1 machine.
Furthermore, with the additional adjustment options at the infeed, onions can be harvested in a more product-friendly way
