4-row self-propelled potato harvester VARITRON 470 with a 7-ton bunker. This new machine will replace the SF 3000 which has been in the Grimme machinery program since 1999. An elevator harvester VARITRON 400 is planned as well as the bunker version. The harvester combines proven, innovative compo-nents from the existing self-propelled machinery range and offers a unique variety of options and combinations of separators. Not only are the main webs but also the separators are 2.8 meter wide and therefore about 15 % higher in capacity than comparable self-propelled harvesters. The innovative OptiBags is fitted to the 1.2 meter wide ring elevator to ensure a high loading capacity but gentle handling of the crop.
The VARITRON 470 is available either with all wheels or as option with two rubber tracks for reduced ground pressure. The 490 HP Mercedes Benz motor meets the newest 3b emission regulations. In the comfortable driver’s cab the driver has good visibility of the intake unit and can easily control the machine via the two standard CCI 200 terminals. In 1969 Grimme launched the first self-propelled harvester and today Grimme offers three 4-row and four 2-row self-propelled harvester models - the largest range around the world.

The potato planter GL 410 fitted directly to the rear of the tractor enables a high agility, which is necessary in many potato areas. The new developed series of 4-row potato planter the GL 410 range meets these requirements.
A special feature is the chassis, which is integrated far in the front in front of the covering discs. Even with the very stable carrier frame keeps the short lifting distance the machine comparatively light, so depending on the options already tractors with 44 kW (60 HP) can handle the machine.
The already thousand times proven Grimme planting elements are fitted in the machine to ensure an accurate planting of the crop. Various options available to customize the machine for the different demands.
Following varieties are possible
